Job Description

Tesco Distribution in Lichfield is excited to welcome motivated individuals to our team as Entry-Level Order Pickers. We provide comprehensive training to equip you with all the skills needed to succeed in a dynamic warehouse environment. This is a full-time, on-site role where you’ll play a crucial part in preparing orders for our stores, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders using handheld scanning devices or voice picking systems.
- Ensure products are handled with care to prevent damage.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Work efficiently as part of a team to meet daily targets.
- Assist with loading and unloading deliveries as required.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to a supervisor immediately.
Required Skills
- Ability to read and understand basic instructions in English.
- Basic numeracy skills for counting and order verification.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 15-20kg regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
