Job Description
Are you an early riser with a strong work ethic and a passion for horses? Pinnacle Equestrian Centre is seeking a dedicated and physically capable Equine Stable Hand / Mucker to join our team. This is a demanding but incredibly rewarding role, perfect for individuals who aren’t afraid of hard physical work and thrive in an active, outdoor environment. While previous experience with horses is a plus, it is not essential; we are looking for reliable individuals eager to learn, with full training provided for the right candidate. You will be instrumental in the daily welfare and care of our horses and the immaculate upkeep of our state-of-the-art facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily mucking out of stables to maintain high hygiene standards.
- Prepare and distribute feed and water according to individual horse requirements.
- Turn horses out to paddocks and bring them in from fields safely.
- Assist with general grooming and basic horse handling.
- Clean and maintain stable areas, tack rooms, and other yard facilities.
- Undertake general yard duties, including sweeping, tidying, and fence checks.
- Report any concerns regarding horse health or stable condition to senior staff.
- Assist with the preparation of horses for exercise or turnout as required.
Required Skills
- Excellent physical fitness and stamina for demanding work.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team.
- A genuine interest in animal welfare, particularly horses.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in an equine environment or with horse care.
- Basic understanding of horse behaviour and handling.
- Full UK driving license.
