Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Event Sales Coordinator to join our vibrant team at Kimberley Sands Resort & Spa. This role is crucial in driving event bookings and ensuring the seamless execution of conferences, weddings, and social gatherings. You will be responsible for managing client relationships from initial inquiry to post-event follow-up, showcasing our exceptional facilities, and collaborating with various departments to deliver unforgettable experiences. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sales, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively solicit new event business through proactive outreach, networking, and lead generation.
  • Manage and respond to all event inquiries promptly and professionally, preparing compelling proposals and contracts.
  • Conduct site inspections and present the resort's event capabilities to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms, ensuring profitability while meeting client expectations.
  • Coordinate all logistical aspects of events, including venue setup, catering, audio-visual requirements, and third-party vendors.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and event details in the CRM system.
  • Collaborate closely with the F&B, Operations, and Reservations teams to ensure smooth event execution.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
  • Represent the resort at industry events and trade shows as required.
  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets for event revenue.

Required Skills

  • Proven sales or customer service experience, preferably within hospitality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • A proactive and results-oriented approach to sales.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience with event management software or CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Delphi).
  • Previous experience in a hotel or resort event sales role.
  • Knowledge of the Broome and Kimberley region tourism market.
