Job Description
Join ScreenGuard Security Solutions as a Film Set Location Security Officer, focusing on overnight shifts in Aldershot and surrounding areas. This is a unique opportunity to work behind the scenes in the vibrant world of film production, protecting valuable assets and maintaining security on active film sets. You will play a crucial role in preventing unauthorized access, deterring theft, and ensuring the safety and privacy of production sites during non-filming hours. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of film set locations and surrounding perimeters during overnight shifts.
- Monitor CCTV systems and alarm panels, responding promptly to any security breaches or incidents.
- Control access points, verifying credentials for all personnel entering and exiting the site.
- Deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized photography or filming.
- Maintain accurate daily logbooks, reporting all incidents, observations, and activities.
- Enforce site security protocols and health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate professionally with film production crew and external agencies as required.
- Provide a visible security presence to ensure the safety and peace of mind of cast and crew.
- Respond effectively to emergencies, including fire alarms, medical incidents, and security threats.
Required Skills
- Valid SIA Licence (Security Industry Authority Licence) is mandatory.
- Excellent observational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proven reliability and punctuality, especially for overnight shifts.
- Strong understanding of security procedures and incident reporting.
- Basic IT literacy for operating security systems and writing reports.
- Physical fitness to conduct regular patrols and stand for extended periods.
- Professional demeanor and customer service orientation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of security experience, preferably in a dynamic or event-based environment.
- First Aid at Work certification.
- Experience with film set or media production security.
- Clean UK driving licence and access to personal transport.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations pertinent to construction or film sets.
