Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Flight Instructor to join our professional training team. This role is crucial in delivering high-quality flight instruction across various levels, from recreational pilots to commercial pilot license candidates. The successful applicant will be passionate about aviation education, possess exceptional instructional skills, and be committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. You will play a pivotal role in guiding our students through their aviation journey, preparing them for successful careers in the skies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct flight and ground instruction in accordance with CASA regulations and company procedures.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training modules for various pilot licenses and ratings.
  • Evaluate student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate training records.
  • Ensure the highest standards of safety are upheld during all instructional activities.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of training programs and materials.
  • Conduct pre-flight and post-flight briefings, debriefings, and flight reviews.
  • Maintain proficiency in all aircraft types for which instruction is provided.

Required Skills

  • Current CASA Flight Instructor Rating (Grade 1 or 2 preferred)
  • Valid Class 1 Aviation Medical Certificate
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Thorough understanding of CASA regulations and aviation safety standards
  • Proven ability to teach and motivate students effectively
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI) endorsement
  • Instrument Rating Instructor (IRI) endorsement
  • Previous experience instructing at a professional flight training organisation
  • Experience with various types of training aircraft
  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation or related field
