Job Description

We are seeking passionate and skilled Foreign Language Teachers to join our dynamic team for the upcoming academic year. We have immediate openings for educators specializing in Spanish, French, and Mandarin. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver engaging foreign language curricula in Spanish, French, or Mandarin to students of various age groups and proficiency levels.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and a love for language learning.
  • Assess student progress regularly, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school administration to support student success and school initiatives.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and school-wide events.
  • Integrate cultural aspects of the target language into lessons to enhance student understanding and appreciation.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and academic progress.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant foreign language or Education.
  • Valid California Teaching Credential (or eligibility/in-progress to obtain).
  • Fluency in Spanish, French, or Mandarin (native or near-native proficiency).
  • Strong understanding of foreign language acquisition methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage a classroom effectively and create an engaging learning atmosphere.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Foreign Language Education or a related field.
  • Prior teaching experience at the K-12 level.
  • Experience with differentiated instruction and technology integration in the classroom.
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities beyond the primary target language.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment design.
