Job Description
Are you looking to kickstart a rewarding career in logistics but lack the necessary qualifications? GXO Logistics in Horsham is offering an incredible opportunity for a Forklift Trainee. We are committed to investing in our future talent, which is why we will pay for your full forklift license and provide comprehensive, ongoing training. No previous experience is required – just a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to safety. This is a full-time, on-site position where you will gain valuable skills and become a certified forklift operator.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in all training sessions to obtain and maintain a forklift license.
- Safely and efficiently operate various types of forklifts (once licensed) to move, stack, and retrieve materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload goods from vehicles, ensuring proper handling and placement.
- Assist with inventory management, including counting, scanning, and verifying stock levels.
- Perform routine pre-operational checks on equipment and report any maintenance issues.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
