Job Description
The Fraternity & Sorority Life (FSL) Intern will contribute to the vibrant student experience at the University of Connecticut’s Stamford Campus. This entry-level internship offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in student affairs, specifically within the realm of Greek life. The intern will support the FSL advisor and student leaders in developing, implementing, and assessing programs and initiatives that promote community, leadership, and service among fraternities and sororities. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about student development, campus involvement, and fostering a positive and engaged student environment. Full training and mentorship will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and execution of FSL events, workshops, and recruitment activities.
- Provide administrative support for FSL operations, including data entry, communication, and record keeping.
- Help develop promotional materials and communication strategies for FSL initiatives.
- Support FSL chapter leaders and members with resources and guidance.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
- Contribute to fostering a positive and inclusive environment for all FSL members.
- Conduct research on best practices in fraternity and sorority life.
Required Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated interest in student affairs, higher education, or campus life.

Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, preferably in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Communications, or related fields.
- Previous involvement in student organizations or campus leadership roles.
- Familiarity with fraternity and sorority life structures and values.
