Job Description
We are actively seeking skilled and compassionate MRI / CT Radiologic Technologists to join our Diagnostic Imaging team in Slough. This is a unique opportunity for qualified professionals, including those from outside the UK, as we are proud to offer comprehensive visa sponsorship and relocation support. As an MRI / CT Radiologic Technologist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services, utilizing advanced MRI and CT equipment to produce detailed images for patient diagnosis and treatment planning. You will work within a supportive multi-disciplinary team, contributing to an outstanding patient experience. Full training on our specific equipment and protocols will be provided, alongside support for UK professional registration.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of MRI and CT examinations in accordance with established protocols and safety guidelines.
- Operate and maintain MRI and CT equipment, ensuring optimal image quality and patient safety.
- Accurately position patients, explain procedures, and address any concerns to ensure patient comfort and cooperation.
- Monitor patients during examinations, responding to any adverse reactions or emergencies.
- Maintain accurate patient records, imaging logs, and contribute to departmental administrative tasks.
- Collaborate effectively with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Adhere strictly to radiation protection, health, and safety regulations.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training initiatives.
Required Skills
- Diploma or Degree in Radiography or equivalent international qualification.
- Proven experience as an MRI and/or CT Radiologic Technologist.
- Strong understanding of MRI and CT physics, anatomy, and cross-sectional imaging.
- Excellent patient care and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal communication).
- Commitment to patient safety and quality care.
- Eligibility or willingness to obtain HCPC registration upon arrival in the UK.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current registration with a relevant professional body (e.g., HCPC in the UK).
- Experience with a variety of MRI and CT scanner models and software platforms.
- Advanced certifications in MRI or CT.
- Experience working in a busy hospital environment.
- Experience with PACS and RIS systems.
