Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Junior Game Programmer to join our vibrant team in Glasgow. This entry-level position is perfect for recent graduates or aspiring programmers with a strong passion for game development who are eager to learn and grow within a professional studio environment. You will work closely with senior programmers, designers, and artists, contributing to various aspects of game programming under guidance. This role is focused on providing foundational experience and mentorship.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior programmers in the implementation of game features and systems.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following established guidelines.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions.
- Debug and resolve programming issues under supervision.
- Learn and adapt to new technologies, tools, and workflows within the game development pipeline.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (design, art, QA).
- Contribute to the overall technical quality and performance of our games.
Required Skills
- Foundational understanding of programming principles and algorithms.
- Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language (e.g., C++, C#, Java, Python).
- Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
