Job Description
As a Gatekeeper for our construction site in Port Macquarie, you will be the first point of contact and a critical element in maintaining site security and safety. This part-time day work position involves controlling access for personnel, visitors, and vehicles, ensuring adherence to site protocols, and accurately logging all movements. This is an entry-level position, and comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided to the successful candidate, making it an excellent opportunity for reliable individuals looking to enter the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Control and monitor all access points to the construction site, verifying credentials for workers, visitors, and deliveries.
- Maintain accurate logs of all incoming and outgoing vehicles, equipment, and personnel.
- Issue and retrieve visitor passes, ensuring all visitors receive a mandatory site safety briefing.
- Operate site gates and barriers efficiently and safely.
- Maintain a vigilant and professional presence at the site entrance.
- Report any suspicious activities, unauthorized access attempts, security breaches, or safety hazards to site management immediately.
- Assist with site induction processes for new arrivals as required.
- Ensure the gatehouse area is kept tidy, organized, and free from obstructions.
- Strictly adhere to all site safety procedures and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with site personnel, contractors, and visitors.
