Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and physically capable Geothermal Drilling Assistant (Mate) to join our growing team in Nashville, TN. This role is crucial to the successful implementation of our geothermal energy projects, supporting the primary driller and ensuring efficient and safe operations on site. This is a hands-on manual labor position with excellent pay, offering a robust opportunity to enter the renewable energy sector and develop specialized skills. Full training will be provided to the right candidate who demonstrates a strong work ethic and commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Driller with all aspects of geothermal drilling operations.
  • Perform manual labor tasks including handling drill rods, casings, and other equipment.
  • Prepare drilling sites, ensuring all safety protocols are meticulously followed.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of tools and machinery under supervision.
  • Monitor drilling equipment, assist with troubleshooting minor issues, and report any malfunctions.
  • Load and unload materials and supplies required for drilling operations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment on the drill site.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Participate in daily safety briefings and contribute to a proactive safety culture.

Required Skills

  • Ability to perform strenuous manual labor for extended periods.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
  • Excellent physical condition and stamina.
  • Reliable transportation to and from job sites in the Nashville area.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to strict safety protocols.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Basic understanding of tools and equipment (training provided).

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Prior experience in construction, labor, or outdoor work.
  • Valid Class A or B CDL (Commercial Driver's License).
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
