Job Description
Join the dedicated team at Penzance Leisure & Golf Solutions as a Golf Ball Retriever. This vital role involves collecting golf balls from our driving range and designated practice areas, primarily during early morning hours to ensure the range is ready for daily play. It’s an active, outdoor role perfect for individuals who enjoy working independently and are reliable. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent entry point into leisure facility operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently collect golf balls from the driving range and designated course areas using collection machinery or by hand.
- Sort and clean collected golf balls, preparing them for reuse.
- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on collection equipment.
- Ensure the driving range is clear and safe for golfers before opening hours.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or facility issues to management.
Required Skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
- Reliability and punctuality for early morning shifts.
- Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Basic communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and operate light machinery (training provided).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in an outdoor or groundskeeping role (not essential, but a plus).
