Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Goods-In Receiving Clerk to join our team in Bakersfield, CA. This hybrid role combines administrative tasks with hands-on warehouse responsibilities, perfect for individuals looking to start a career in logistics and supply chain. No prior experience is required as we provide comprehensive training. You will be instrumental in ensuring the accurate and efficient receipt of all incoming goods, playing a vital part in our operational flow.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists for accuracy in quantity and item type.
- Inspect received goods for damage or discrepancies, documenting any issues thoroughly.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks (training provided) to move incoming materials.
- Accurately input receiving data into inventory management systems.
- Label and organize received items for storage or onward distribution.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments regarding deliveries.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Assist with other warehouse and administrative duties as needed.
Required Skills
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry.
