Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity for empathetic and dedicated individuals to start a rewarding career as a Healthcare Assistant at our facility in York. No prior experience is required as full, comprehensive training will be provided to ensure you gain all the necessary skills and confidence to excel in this vital role. You will be instrumental in providing compassionate, person-centred care to our patients, working closely with our nursing teams to maintain high standards of patient welfare and support. This role offers an immediate start for suitable candidates who are eager to make a real difference in people’s lives and contribute to a supportive healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting patients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and mobility.
- Monitoring and recording vital signs, escalating any concerns to senior staff.
- Supporting patients with their nutritional needs, including feeding and hydration.
- Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe environment for patients.
- Communicating effectively with patients, their families, and the wider healthcare team.
- Documenting care provided accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assisting nurses with clinical tasks as directed and within scope of training.

- No previous healthcare experience required – full training provided.

- Previous experience in a customer service or care-related role (non-healthcare).
