Job Description
We are seeking a talented and passionate Industrial Designer to join our dynamic product development team in Cambridge, MA. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative individual to contribute to the next generation of Logitech products, shaping their aesthetics, usability, and overall user experience. You will be instrumental in translating complex ideas into elegant and functional designs, working across various stages of the product lifecycle from conceptualization to production. Key Responsibilities
- Generate innovative industrial design concepts through sketching, mood boards, and renderings.
- Develop 3D CAD models using industry-standard software (e.g., SolidWorks, Rhino).
- Create physical prototypes and models to test and refine design concepts.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, marketing, and user research teams to ensure design feasibility and market relevance.
- Participate in design reviews, presenting concepts and rationale to stakeholders.
- Specify materials, finishes, and manufacturing processes appropriate for mass production.
- Conduct trend research and competitive analysis to inform design direction.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative studio environment.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in 2D sketching and visual communication.
- Strong skills in 3D CAD modeling (SolidWorks, Rhino, or similar).
- Expertise in rendering software (KeyShot, V-Ray, or similar).
- Excellent understanding of form, aesthetics, and user-centered design principles.
- Ability to create compelling presentations and communicate design concepts effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Industrial Design or a related field.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Knowledge of various manufacturing processes (injection molding, machining, etc.).
- Experience designing consumer electronics products.
- Portfolio demonstrating a strong understanding of product development from concept to production.
