Job Description
Join Lloyds Banking Group as an Information Security Analyst and play a crucial role in safeguarding our digital infrastructure and sensitive data. You will be responsible for monitoring security systems, responding to incidents, and contributing to the development and implementation of security policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems and tools for anomalies, alerts, and potential threats.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, providing detailed analysis and remediation steps.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and participate in penetration testing efforts to identify and mitigate risks.
- Provide security awareness training and guidance to internal teams on best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies.
- Collaborate with IT infrastructure and development teams to ensure secure system configurations and deployments.
Required Skills
- Proven experience of at least 3 years in information security, cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
- Solid understanding of industry-standard security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
- Familiarity with security tools (SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS).
- Knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and common attack vectors.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of conveying complex technical information.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related technical discipline.
- Relevant security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CySA+, CEH, GIAC).
- Hands-on experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for security automation.
- Previous experience within the financial services industry.
