Job Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced Instructional Designer to join our Digital Learning team. This is a 100% remote Work From Home (WFH) opportunity, open to candidates located in Australia, specifically tied to the Whyalla region for administrative purposes. You will be responsible for designing and developing engaging, effective, and innovative digital learning solutions that meet business needs and enhance employee capability across various departments. Your expertise will be crucial in translating complex information into clear, concise, and interactive learning content.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement instructional strategies and content for digital learning modules, including e-learning courses, virtual instructor-led training (VILT), and blended learning programs.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify learning objectives, gather content, and ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Apply adult learning principles, instructional design theories, and best practices to create engaging and effective learning experiences.
- Develop interactive exercises, simulations, assessments, and job aids to reinforce learning and measure comprehension.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, from initial concept to final delivery, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of learning solutions and iterate based on feedback and performance data.
- Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in instructional design and digital learning.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of experience in instructional design, with a strong portfolio showcasing digital learning solutions.
- Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline 360, Adobe Captivate, or similar.
- Solid understanding of adult learning theories, instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM), and learning technologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical content into user-friendly language.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field.
- Experience designing learning solutions for the financial services industry.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) administration and SCORM/xAPI standards.
- Graphic design or multimedia development skills (e.g., video editing, animation).
