Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Production Coordinator to join our vibrant film and commercial production team in Dandenong. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of our diverse range of advertising campaigns. You will work closely with producers, directors, and various department heads, providing essential support from pre-production through to post-production. The ideal candidate will be meticulous, possess excellent communication skills, and have a passion for the fast-paced world of film and commercial production.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Producers in all phases of production, including pre-production planning, on-set coordination, and post-production logistics.
- Manage production schedules, call sheets, and daily progress reports.
- Coordinate travel, accommodation, and catering for cast and crew.
- Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and external partners to secure necessary equipment, locations, and services.
- Prepare, track, and reconcile production budgets and expenses, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines.
- Organize and distribute production documents, permits, and legal paperwork.
- Maintain accurate production files and databases.
- Support on-set operations, acting as a key point of contact for logistical queries and problem-solving.
- Facilitate communication between various departments to ensure seamless workflow.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in film, television, or commercial production coordination.
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Media Studies, Communications, or a related field.
- Experience with budgeting software (e.g., Movie Magic Budgeting, Gorilla Scheduler).
- Familiarity with local Victorian film regulations and permitting processes.
- Previous experience working in an advertising agency environment.
