Job Description
Are you an animal lover looking to start a rewarding career? Central Coast Pet Haven is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as a Kennel Hand. No prior experience is required, as we believe in providing comprehensive training to all our new team members. This entry-level position is perfect for those passionate about animal welfare, eager to learn, and ready to contribute to a positive environment for our furry friends. You will play a crucial role in the daily care, feeding, cleaning, and general well-being of the animals at our facility, ensuring they receive the highest standard of attention and comfort.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning and sanitization of kennels, runs, and common areas.
- Provide food and water to animals according to schedules and dietary requirements.
- Monitor animals for any signs of illness, injury, or behavioral changes and report them to senior staff.
- Assist with animal enrichment activities, including supervised playtime and interaction.
- Administer basic medications as directed by veterinary staff (after training).
- Maintain accurate records of feeding, medication, and cleaning schedules.
- Assist with laundry and general upkeep of the facility.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for all animals.
