Job Description
Are you a passionate linguist with a flair for teaching? Tutor Doctor Lichfield is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Language Tutors to join our dynamic team. As a Language Tutor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, engaging language instruction to individuals and small groups, fostering a positive and productive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality language lessons tailored to individual student needs and learning styles.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to foster continuous improvement.
- Create and adapt teaching materials and resources to enhance the learning experience.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and centre management regarding progress and any concerns.
- Maintain a positive, encouraging, and productive learning environment.
- Adhere to the centre's policies and procedures regarding student safety and educational standards.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities as required.
Required Skills
- Fluency in at least one foreign language (e.g., French, Spanish, German, Mandarin, Italian, etc.) in addition to English.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students of varying ages and abilities.
- Patience, adaptability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- A genuine passion for language education and cultural exchange.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Linguistics, Education, a specific language, or a related field.
- Previous experience (minimum 1 year) in tutoring, teaching, or mentoring.
- Relevant teaching qualification (e.g., CELTA, DELTA, PGCE, TEFL/TESOL certification).
- Experience with online teaching platforms and resources.
