Job Description
Aramark Uniform Services is seeking a dedicated and reliable Laundry & Linen Route Driver to manage routes for our commercial accounts in the Buffalo area. This is a full-time position with weekends off, offering a consistent schedule and the opportunity to build strong relationships with our valued customers. You will be responsible for the timely delivery and pickup of fresh uniforms, linens, and other textile products, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to safety standards. Key Responsibilities
- Operate a company vehicle safely and efficiently to deliver and pick up uniforms and linens from commercial clients on a designated route.
- Manage inventory on the truck, ensuring accurate deliveries and pickups.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client needs and inquiries professionally.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, performing routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Complete necessary paperwork and utilize handheld devices for route tracking and delivery confirmation.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or customer concerns promptly to management.
- Load and unload laundry products efficiently, often requiring physical effort.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy laundry bags/bundles (up to 50 lbs regularly).
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Basic math skills for inventory management.
- Customer service-oriented mindset.
- Minimum of 12 months of driving experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in route delivery or commercial driving.
- Familiarity with the Buffalo metropolitan area roads and traffic patterns.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience using handheld scanning devices or route management software.
