Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and physically capable Linen Assistant to join our logistics team in Bundaberg. In this crucial on-site role, you will be responsible for the efficient management and distribution of linen services for our hotel and hospital clients. This entry-level position is perfect for someone looking to start their career in logistics and facilities management, with full training provided. Your contribution ensures that our clients consistently receive clean, well-organised linen, supporting their daily operations and high standards of hygiene and comfort.
Key Responsibilities
- Sort, count, and organise soiled linen received from various client sites.
- Operate commercial laundry equipment safely and efficiently (training provided).
- Inspect linen for damage or stains and report as necessary.
- Fold, iron, and pack clean linen according to client specifications.
- Prepare and load linen carts for delivery to hotels and hospitals.
- Assist with the unloading and distribution of linen at client locations.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene protocols.
- Assist with inventory checks and stock rotation as required.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehousing, laundry, or hospitality setting is a plus.
- Current Australian driver's license (C-class) is beneficial but not essential.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
