Job Description
Are you looking for an immediate start in an active role that doesn’t require prior experience? Britannia Movers International in Canterbury is seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as Movers / General Labourers. This is an excellent opportunity for students or anyone looking to gain valuable experience in a supportive environment. We offer full training and an immediate start! You’ll be an integral part of our moving and logistics operations, directly contributing to the smooth relocation of our customers’ belongings. This is an on-site position.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely loading and unloading furniture, boxes, and other items onto removal vehicles.
- Carefully packing and unpacking items, ensuring their protection during transit.
- Disassembling and reassembling furniture as required.
- Working effectively as part of a team to complete moves efficiently and on schedule.
- Maintaining a high level of customer service and professionalism at all times.
- Adhering to all health and safety guidelines and company policies.
- Assisting with general warehouse duties when not on a removal job.
Required Skills
- A strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift and carry heavy items safely.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a commitment to teamwork.
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- The desire to learn and develop new skills (full training will be provided).
Preferred Qualifications
- A full, clean UK driving license.
- Previous experience in a physically demanding role (e.g., construction, warehouse, landscaping), though not essential.
- Basic understanding of tools for furniture assembly/disassembly.
