Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate MRI / CT Radiologic Technologist to join our dynamic imaging department. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and producing high-quality images for accurate diagnosis. Key Responsibilities
- Perform MRI and CT scans in accordance with established protocols and physician orders.
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper positioning during procedures.
- Prepare and administer contrast agents as required, under physician supervision.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, troubleshooting minor issues and reporting complex ones.
- Review images for quality and completeness, making adjustments as necessary.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper documentation of procedures.
- Adhere to all radiation safety guidelines and institutional policies.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
Required Skills
- Certification by a recognized radiologic technology credentialing body (e.g., CAMRT, ARRT or equivalent international certification).
- Proficiency in operating MRI and CT imaging equipment.
- Strong understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and imaging principles.
- Excellent patient care and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and quality care.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
- Specialized certification in MRI and/or CT.
- Experience with multiple vendor imaging systems.
- Fluency in additional languages.
- Previous experience working in a private clinic or hospital setting in Canada.
