Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Nursing Home Registered Manager to lead our dedicated team at our Glasgow facility. This pivotal role requires a strong leader who can ensure the delivery of exceptional, person-centred care, maintain regulatory compliance (Care Inspectorate Scotland), and foster a positive, supportive environment for both residents and staff. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursing home, ensuring high standards of care and service delivery.
- Manage and lead a multidisciplinary team, promoting a culture of respect, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, including those set by the Care Inspectorate Scotland.
- Develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of residents, promoting their independence and wellbeing.
- Manage budgets, resources, and staffing levels efficiently and effectively.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, their families, and external stakeholders.
- Champion MHA's values and mission, fostering an environment where residents feel safe, valued, and respected.
- Oversee recruitment, training, and development of all staff members.
Required Skills
- Valid NMC registration (Adult Nurse, Mental Health Nurse, or Learning Disability Nurse)
- Proven experience in a managerial role within a nursing home or similar care setting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Care Inspectorate Scotland regulations and standards.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational and financial management abilities.
- A genuine passion for elderly care and commitment to person-centred practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent qualification).
- Experience with CQC or similar regulatory bodies outside of Scotland.
- A postgraduate qualification in healthcare management or a related field.
