Job Description
Patties Foods is offering an exciting opportunity for an Operations Management Intern to join our Supply Chain & Logistics team in Maryborough, Queensland. This internship is designed for students seeking hands-on experience in a dynamic manufacturing and distribution environment. You will gain valuable insights into the end-to-end supply chain process, from raw material procurement to finished goods delivery, while supporting our daily operational activities. This is an entry-level position where comprehensive training and mentorship will be provided, making it ideal for those eager to kickstart their career in operations and supply chain management.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the coordination and tracking of inventory, ensuring accuracy and optimal stock levels.
- Support logistics planning and execution, including scheduling shipments and monitoring deliveries.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency and reducing costs within operations.
- Collect and analyze operational data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and support decision-making.
- Shadow experienced operations managers and supply chain professionals to understand various aspects of the business.
- Contribute to various ad-hoc projects related to supply chain optimization and operational excellence.
- Ensure compliance with company safety standards and operational procedures.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- A proactive attitude, eagerness to learn, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated interest in operations, supply chain, or logistics.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic understanding of supply chain concepts and principles through coursework or personal study.
- Previous experience in a team-based project or volunteer role showcasing organizational skills.
