Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Engage fully in the comprehensive training program, committing to both theoretical and practical learning modules.
- Learn and apply pre-hospital emergency medical care protocols, including basic life support, advanced first aid, and trauma management.
- Develop skills in patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment under the guidance of qualified professionals.
- Safely operate emergency vehicles, once properly trained and licensed, and respond to emergency calls efficiently.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and documentation.
- Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations, professional standards, and service policies.
- Work collaboratively as part of an emergency services team, demonstrating teamwork and resilience in high-pressure environments.
Required Skills
- A full UK driving license (or equivalent) with no more than 6 penalty points.
- 5 National 4 qualifications, including English and Maths, or equivalent (e.g., SVQ Level 2, GCSEs).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with people from all walks of life.
- The ability to remain calm and effective under pressure, demonstrating clear thinking in challenging situations.
- A strong commitment to learning and professional development, eager to absorb new knowledge and skills.
- A high level of physical fitness and resilience, capable of meeting the demands of the role.
- Empathy, compassion, and a genuine desire to help others in their time of need.
- Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of application.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service or care-related role.
- Possession of a basic First Aid certificate.
- Knowledge of the local Glasgow area and its communities.
- Evidence of recent academic study (within the last 5 years).
