Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and organised Philanthropy Assistant to join our dedicated Charitable Fund team in Bristol. This role is essential in supporting the Philanthropy team to build and maintain strong relationships with our generous donors, ensuring the smooth operation of our fundraising activities. You will play a key administrative and coordinative role, helping to maximise the impact of our philanthropic income and contributing directly to our mission of creating a better future for children worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Philanthropy team, including scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and preparing presentations.
- Maintain and update donor records accurately within our CRM database (e.g., Salesforce), ensuring data integrity and compliance.
- Assist with the coordination and execution of donor engagement events, from logistics to guest list management.
- Conduct research on prospective donors and funding opportunities to support fundraising strategies.
- Prepare reports and briefings for internal stakeholders and external meetings.
- Process donations and acknowledge gifts promptly and appropriately.
- Support the development and distribution of donor communications, including newsletters, impact reports, and proposals.
- Handle donor enquiries professionally and efficiently, escalating complex issues as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless donor journeys and integrated fundraising efforts.
Required Skills
- Proven organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience with CRM databases (e.g., Salesforce) or a willingness to learn quickly.
- A strong commitment to accuracy and data integrity.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous administrative experience within a charity, non-profit, or fundraising environment.
- An understanding of philanthropic giving principles and donor cultivation techniques.
