Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Public Healthcare Laundry & Sterilization Aide to join our essential services team. In this critical role, you will ensure the efficient processing, cleaning, and sterilization of healthcare linen and equipment, directly contributing to patient safety and infection control within our hospital environments. This is an immediate hire position, perfect for individuals who are keen to make a difference in healthcare and are eager to learn. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent entry point into a vital public service role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect soiled linen and surgical instruments from various hospital departments.
  • Operate industrial washing, drying, and sterilization equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Sort, count, and fold clean linen, ensuring it meets required quality standards.
  • Package sterilized items according to strict protocols for distribution.
  • Monitor equipment performance and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
  • Adhere strictly to all infection control, health, and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of items processed and distributed.
  • Ensure a clean and organized work environment within the laundry and sterilization departments.
