Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our busy kitchen team with an immediate start. This entry-level role is perfect for someone looking to get their foot in the door of the hospitality industry. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by maintaining cleanliness, supporting our chefs, and ensuring health and safety standards are met. Full training will be provided, so no prior experience is necessary, just a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
Key Responsibilities
- Washing and sterilising crockery, cutlery, pots, and pans.
- Cleaning kitchen equipment, work surfaces, and floors to high standards.
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under the guidance of chefs.
- Receiving and storing deliveries appropriately.
- Managing and disposing of waste and recycling responsibly.
- Ensuring the kitchen is organised and tidy at all times.
- Adhering to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Supporting kitchen staff as needed during busy periods.
Required Skills
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good physical stamina, capable of lifting and standing for extended periods.
