Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Public Sector Project Assistant to join our dynamic team in Geelong. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start or advance their career in professional services with a focus on public sector engagements. You will play a crucial role in supporting project managers and teams, ensuring the smooth execution of various projects for our government and public sector clients. While prior extensive experience is not required, a strong aptitude for learning, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive attitude are essential. Full training and mentorship will be provided to help you succeed in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to project managers and project teams.
  • Assist in the preparation of project documentation, reports, and presentations.
  • Organize and schedule meetings, workshops, and team events.
  • Maintain project files, databases, and communication logs.
  • Monitor project timelines and flag potential delays to the project manager.
  • Conduct basic research and gather information as required for projects.
  • Assist with data entry and analysis, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Facilitate internal and external communications, acting as a liaison when necessary.
  • Support invoice processing and expense tracking related to project activities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the project support function.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
