Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA/QC) Engineer to join our dynamic technology team. This role is crucial in ensuring the reliability, functionality, and performance of our software applications and systems that support our critical energy infrastructure. As a QA/QC Engineer, you will play a key role in developing, executing, and automating test plans to identify defects and ensure our products meet the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and test cases for software applications.
- Execute manual and automated tests across various platforms and environments.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking systems.
- Collaborate closely with development teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Participate in design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, and potential issues.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies.
- Perform regression testing, performance testing, and user acceptance testing as needed.
- Create and maintain detailed QA documentation, including test reports and test summaries.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in software quality assurance or quality control (at least 2 years).
- Familiarity with various testing methodologies (e.g., agile, waterfall).
- Experience with test case management tools and bug tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps).
- Basic understanding of SQL queries for database testing.
- Ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Eligibility for sponsorship and a strong commitment to long-term employment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress).
- Proficiency in a programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C#) for scripting automated tests.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of performance and security testing principles.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., ISTQB).
