Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Blockchain Developer / Web3 Engineer to join our innovative team in Portland, OR. This role is crucial for designing, developing, and deploying decentralized applications and smart contracts on various blockchain platforms. You will be instrumental in exploring and implementing Web3 technologies to create secure, scalable, and efficient solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy robust smart contracts on blockchain platforms (e.g., Ethereum, Polygon, Solana).
- Build and maintain decentralized applications (dApps) and user interfaces for Web3 solutions using modern frameworks.
- Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and auditing of smart contracts for security vulnerabilities and optimal functionality.
- Research and evaluate new blockchain technologies, protocols, and industry best practices to inform strategic decisions.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other engineering teams to define and implement technical requirements.
- Ensure the scalability, performance, and security of blockchain solutions through architectural design and implementation.
- Participate actively in code reviews, contribute to architectural discussions, and mentor junior developers.
- Develop and integrate APIs for blockchain services and external systems.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Solidity and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Strong understanding of blockchain fundamentals, cryptography, and decentralized network architecture.
- Hands-on experience with Web3.js, Ethers.js, or similar libraries for blockchain interaction.
- Familiarity with blockchain development tools like Truffle, Hardhat, Ganache, or Remix.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.
- Solid knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with other blockchain platforms beyond Ethereum (e.g., Polkadot, Avalanche, Near, Cosmos).
- Familiarity with IPFS, Filecoin, or other decentralized storage solutions.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for deploying and managing blockchain infrastructure.
- Understanding of blockchain security best practices, common attack vectors, and auditing tools.
- Contributions to open-source blockchain projects or personal Web3 projects.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience with Layer 2 scaling solutions (e.g., Optimism, Arbitrum).
