Job Description
Join Veolia as a Recycling Sorter at our facility in Bradford, West Yorkshire. This is an excellent opportunity for dedicated individuals passionate about environmental sustainability to contribute to our essential waste management operations. No prior experience is required, as comprehensive training will be provided to all successful candidates. You will play a crucial role in manually sorting various recyclable materials, ensuring their proper segregation and preparing them for further processing. This physically active role requires attention to detail and a commitment to health and safety standards. Key Responsibilities
- Manually sort and separate various recyclable materials, including plastics, paper, cardboard, glass, and metals, from mixed waste streams on a conveyor belt.
- Ensure accurate segregation of materials to meet quality specifications for recycling.
- Identify and remove non-recyclable items or contaminants from the recycling stream.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and efficient operational environment.
- Operate sorting equipment safely and effectively after receiving full training.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or unusual observations to supervisory staff promptly.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily processing targets and maintain operational flow.
