Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and empathetic Remote Patient Appointment Scheduler to join our growing healthcare call center team. In this pivotal role, you will be the first point of contact for many of our patients, responsible for scheduling, rescheduling, and confirming appointments for various medical services across our facilities. This is a 100% remote position, offering the flexibility to work from your home while contributing to a vital part of our patient care pathway. You will manage incoming calls, respond to patient inquiries, and ensure all scheduling logistics are handled with precision and compassion. Strong organizational skills and a customer-focused approach are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally, handling patient inquiries regarding appointments.
- Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments using our electronic scheduling system.
- Verify patient information and update records as necessary, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Provide patients with clear instructions and necessary information regarding their appointments.
- Liaise with clinical staff and departments to coordinate complex scheduling needs.
- Handle patient concerns and provide excellent customer service, escalating issues when appropriate.
- Maintain a high level of productivity and adherence to scheduling protocols.
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.
