Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and reliable Sauna & Steam Room Cleaner to join our facilities team. This crucial ‘after hours’ role involves specialized cleaning and sanitization of our sauna and steam room facilities to ensure the highest standards of hygiene and comfort for our members. The position requires comfort with ‘wet work’ environments and the ability to work independently during off-peak hours. Full training will be provided to the right candidate who demonstrates a strong work ethic and attention to detail. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a flexible, part-time schedule within a supportive community organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning and sanitization of sauna and steam room interiors, including benches, walls, floors, and fixtures.
- Utilize specialized cleaning agents and equipment suitable for high-humidity and high-temperature environments.
- Conduct 'wet work' duties, including scrubbing, rinsing, and drying all surfaces to prevent mold and mildew growth.
- Empty waste receptacles and dispose of trash according to established protocols.
- Restock supplies such as towels and cleaning materials as needed.
- Monitor and report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards observed during cleaning.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations and company policies.
- Work independently and efficiently to complete all cleaning tasks within the designated after-hours schedule.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and proper storage of cleaning supplies.
