Job Description
Are you looking to kickstart a rewarding career in heavy machinery operation? London Scrap Solutions is seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as Trainee Scrap Metal Crane Operators. No prior experience is required as we provide comprehensive, hands-on training to equip you with the skills needed to safely and efficiently operate our state-of-the-art cranes. This is an excellent opportunity for mechanically inclined individuals who are eager to learn and grow within the recycling industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in a structured training program to learn crane operation, safety protocols, and material handling techniques.
- Assist experienced operators with the sorting, loading, and unloading of various types of scrap metal.
- Learn to conduct pre-shift inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth and efficient site operations.
- Develop proficiency in identifying different grades of scrap metal.
- Perform basic equipment maintenance tasks under supervision.
