Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and organized Shipping Label Printer Assistant to join our fast-paced logistics operation in Glasgow. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely printing and distribution of shipping labels, ensuring that packages are correctly identified for their next stage of transit. This position requires strong attention to detail, a methodical approach, and the ability to work effectively within a dynamic team environment. Full training will be provided on our specific systems and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain label printing equipment, ensuring optimal functionality.
- Load label stock into printers and troubleshoot minor printing issues.
- Print shipping labels accurately according to daily manifests and system instructions.
- Verify label information against package details to prevent mislabeling.
- Organize and distribute printed labels to appropriate packing or staging areas.
- Monitor label supply levels and report replenishment needs to supervisors.
- Assist with other administrative or logistical tasks as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Required Skills
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to navigate software interfaces.
