Job Description
Are you a highly organized individual who thrives in a dynamic, behind-the-scenes role? Browns Shoes in Dollard-des-Ormeaux is looking for a motivated and energetic Shoe Store Stock Runner to join our team. This entry-level position is perfect for someone who is eager to learn the ropes of retail operations, manage inventory efficiently, and support our sales team. You will be instrumental in ensuring our sales floor is always stocked with the latest styles, providing a seamless shopping experience for our customers. Full training will be provided, so no prior experience is necessary!
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently receive, unpack, and organize new shoe shipments.
- Maintain a tidy, safe, and organized stockroom environment.
- Replenish sales floor inventory quickly and accurately as needed to support sales.
- Assist with periodic inventory counts and stock checks.
- Prepare returns and transfers of merchandise for shipment.
- Support the sales team by promptly locating specific styles and sizes from the stockroom.
- Ensure all merchandise is correctly ticketed and prepared for display.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding stock management and safety.
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 25 lbs (11 kg).
- Capable of standing and walking for extended periods throughout a shift.
- Eagerness to learn new procedures and take initiative.
- Good communication skills and a team-player attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a retail, warehouse, or stockroom setting (though not required, it is a plus).
- Familiarity with inventory management basics (training will be provided).
