Job Description

We are seeking a talented and motivated Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our dynamic team in Bellingham, WA. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable and robust infrastructure solutions.
  • Monitor system health, performance, and availability, and respond to incidents promptly.
  • Automate operational tasks and workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure reliability is built into software from the ground up.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to support production systems.
  • Conduct post-incident reviews to identify root causes and implement preventative measures.
  • Manage cloud resources and configurations (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems and processes.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Go, Bash).
  • Strong understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
  • Solid grasp of networking fundamentals.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
  • Familiarity with distributed systems and microservices architecture.
  • Previous experience in a 24/7 production environment.
  • Understanding of database systems (SQL and NoSQL).
