Job Description
We are seeking a talented and motivated Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our dynamic team in Bellingham, WA. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and robust infrastructure solutions.
- Monitor system health, performance, and availability, and respond to incidents promptly.
- Automate operational tasks and workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure reliability is built into software from the ground up.
- Participate in on-call rotations to support production systems.
- Conduct post-incident reviews to identify root causes and implement preventative measures.
- Manage cloud resources and configurations (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems and processes.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Go, Bash).
- Strong understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Experience with monitoring and alerting systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Solid grasp of networking fundamentals.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Familiarity with distributed systems and microservices architecture.
- Previous experience in a 24/7 production environment.
- Understanding of database systems (SQL and NoSQL).
