Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals for a temporary, seasonal position as a Snowmobile Track Cleaner. This vital role ensures the safety and enjoyment of snowmobilers by maintaining clear and well-kept trails throughout the winter season. You will work outdoors in various weather conditions, clearing debris, performing minor trail upkeep, and inspecting tracks to report any hazards. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for those looking for active, outdoor work during the winter.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate hand tools and basic equipment to clear snowmobile tracks of debris such as fallen branches, rocks, and other obstructions.
- Inspect trails regularly for hazards, reporting any significant damage or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Perform minor trail maintenance tasks, including clearing small snowdrifts or ensuring trail markers are visible.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company guidelines while working on and around snowmobile trails.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper care and storage of tools and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding daily tasks and any issues encountered.
Required Skills
- Ability to work outdoors in cold, snowy, and varied winter weather conditions for extended periods.
- Physical fitness, including the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, stoop, and walk on uneven terrain.
- Strong work ethic and a commitment to safety.
- Reliable transportation to and from the work site.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in outdoor maintenance, landscaping, or general labor.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Basic mechanical aptitude or experience with small engine equipment.
