Job Description
Join McCormick & Company as a Spice Blending & Packaging Worker on our Day Shift in Murrieta, CA! This is a unique opportunity to work in a truly ‘great smelling workplace’ where you’ll contribute to the creation of world-class flavors. You will be responsible for the precise blending of various spices and the efficient, quality-controlled packaging of our products. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety and quality standards, and a collaborative spirit. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately measure, weigh, and blend spices according to specific recipes and production orders.
- Operate and monitor various blending, mixing, and packaging machinery safely and efficiently.
- Perform regular quality checks on raw materials and finished products to ensure adherence to company standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, strictly following all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety protocols.
- Load and unload materials from production lines, pallets, and storage areas.
- Package finished spice products into various containers, ensuring proper labeling and sealing.
- Conduct minor troubleshooting of equipment and report any significant mechanical issues to supervisors or maintenance.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet production targets and maintain workflow efficiency.
- Accurately complete all necessary production logs and documentation.
Required Skills
- Ability to accurately follow written instructions and recipes.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to product quality.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Basic mathematical skills for measuring and blending ingredients.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
- Adherence to all safety procedures and protocols.
- Reliable and strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a food production, manufacturing, or warehouse setting.
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Experience operating blending, mixing, or packaging machinery.
- Forklift certification or prior forklift operation experience.
