Job Description
Are you an early riser with a passion for fresh baked goods? Tesco is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Supermarket Bakery Assistant to join our team in Manchester. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals eager to learn the art of baking and contribute to creating delicious treats for our customers. You will be an integral part of our bakery operations, ensuring our shelves are stocked with freshly baked bread, pastries, and cakes right from the start of the day. Full training will be provided, so no prior experience is necessary – just a great attitude, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work early morning shifts!
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the preparation and baking of various bakery products, including bread, pastries, and cakes.
- Ensuring products are baked to the highest quality standards and presented attractively.
- Maintaining a clean and hygienic bakery area, adhering to all food safety regulations.
- Stocking shelves and displaying products in an appealing manner.
- Assisting customers with inquiries and providing excellent service.
- Operating bakery equipment safely and efficiently.
- Monitoring stock levels and reporting low inventory.
- Working effectively as part of a team, especially during early morning shifts to meet production targets.
