Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Theme Park Operations Manager to lead our day-to-day park operations at Six Flags New England. This pivotal role involves overseeing multiple operational departments, ensuring the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be a proven leader with a passion for the theme park industry and an unwavering commitment to operational excellence. Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team of supervisors and front-line staff across various operational departments, including rides, guest services, and park appearance.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance guest experience, improve efficiency, and maximize profitability.
- Ensure strict adherence to all safety protocols, operational procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor park performance metrics, analyze data, and generate reports to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with other park departments (e.g., Maintenance, Security, Food & Beverage) to ensure seamless park operations.
- Manage operational budgets, control labor costs, and optimize resource allocation.
- Respond to and resolve guest concerns and operational incidents swiftly and professionally.
- Contribute to the strategic planning and execution of park events and initiatives.
- Oversee training programs for operations staff, ensuring high levels of competence and guest service.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in operations management within the hospitality, entertainment, or theme park industry.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience managing large teams.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and operational best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings, in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Direct experience in theme park ride operations or attractions management.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid or other relevant safety certifications.
