Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Theme Park Operations Manager to oversee daily operations at one of our premier entertainment venues in the New England region, with a primary base and regional responsibilities centered in Worcester, MA. This pivotal role involves leading a diverse team, ensuring operational excellence, and delivering exceptional guest experiences. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of park operations, including rides, attractions, guest services, safety, and security. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily park operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and guest satisfaction across all departments.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to optimize park performance and enhance the guest experience.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a large team of full-time and seasonal staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Monitor and manage operational budgets, control expenses, and identify opportunities for revenue growth.
- Ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations, company policies, and local/federal laws.
- Respond to and resolve guest concerns and operational challenges in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with other department heads (e.g., maintenance, food & beverage, retail) to ensure seamless park functionality.
- Analyze operational data and metrics to identify trends, improve processes, and inform strategic decisions.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on operational performance for senior management.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in theme park, resort, or large-scale entertainment venue operations management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate large teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in budget management and operational analysis.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by park operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certification in ride operations or safety management (e.g., AIMS, NAARSO).
- Experience with P&L responsibilities for a significant operational department or venue.
- Previous experience managing relocation processes for new hires or internal transfers.
