Job Description
Are you a passionate gamer with a creative spark and a deep love for Trading Card Games (TCGs)? Nexus Games UK is seeking a bright and enthusiastic TCG Design Intern to join our innovative team in Kirkby. This is a unique opportunity for aspiring game designers to get hands-on experience in the exciting world of TCG development, learning from industry veterans.
As a TCG Design Intern, you will work closely with our experienced design team, contributing to various stages of game development, from concept generation to playtesting and balance adjustments. We’re looking for someone who is eager to learn, brings fresh ideas, and is ready to immerse themselves in the creative process of bringing new TCGs to life.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior designers in brainstorming new game concepts, mechanics, and card abilities for upcoming TCG projects.
- Support the development of detailed game design documents and card specifications.
- Participate actively in playtesting sessions, providing constructive feedback and helping to identify balance issues.
- Analyze game data and player feedback to suggest improvements and refinements.
- Help organize and maintain design files, prototypes, and playtest materials.
- Research current TCG market trends, competitor games, and player communities to inform design decisions.
- Contribute to a positive and creative team environment.
Required Skills
- A profound passion for and deep understanding of various Trading Card Games (TCGs).
- Demonstrated creativity and an aptitude for original design thinking.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience organizing or participating in TCG community events or tournaments.
