Job Description
Are you looking for an opportunity to launch a career in maritime safety with no prior experience? PAE is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Trainee Maritime Safety Assistants. This entry-level position offers comprehensive training designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary to support U.S. Coast Guard operations and contribute to essential maritime safety initiatives. You will learn the fundamentals of maritime regulations, safety protocols, and operational support, playing a crucial role in safeguarding our nation’s waterways. Full training will be provided from day one.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in all provided training programs and workshops.
- Assist senior staff with administrative tasks related to maritime safety documentation and record-keeping.
- Learn and apply maritime safety regulations and protocols under supervision.
- Support logistical coordination for equipment and personnel in preparation for maritime operations.
- Observe and assist in field operations, gaining practical experience in various maritime environments.
- Communicate effectively with team members and external partners as directed.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies at all times.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physical ability to perform duties which may include standing, walking, and light lifting.
Preferred Qualifications

- Valid driver's license.
