Key Responsibilities
- Patrol designated areas on foot or by vehicle to deter and detect security breaches.
- Monitor surveillance equipment, including CCTV, to identify any unusual activities.
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergency situations following established protocols.
- Report all security incidents, safety hazards, and unusual occurrences in detail.
- Maintain a visible presence to ensure a safe and secure environment for clients and employees.
- Provide excellent customer service and assist visitors and staff with inquiries.
- Enforce site rules and regulations, ensuring compliance and addressing violations.
- Complete daily logs, incident reports, and other necessary documentation accurately.
- Undergo and successfully complete all required SIA training and licensing processes.
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to uphold security standards.
Required Skills
- No prior security experience required (full training provided).
- Must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to observe situations and make quick, sound decisions.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer literacy for report writing and communication.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid G-class driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Ability to de-escalate difficult situations calmly and effectively.
