Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Enforce parking restrictions and regulations fairly and consistently.
- Issue Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) to vehicles in contravention of parking rules.
- Provide clear and concise information to the public regarding parking regulations.
- Patrol designated areas on foot or by vehicle, often alone.
- Report defects such as faulty meters, damaged signs, or road markings.
- Maintain accurate records of duties performed and notices issued.
- Handle enquiries and disputes from the public professionally and courteously.
- Ensure the safety and smooth flow of traffic and pedestrian movement.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
- Good observational skills and attention to detail.
- Physical fitness for extensive walking and standing outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Basic IT literacy for handheld devices.
- A strong sense of responsibility and integrity.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a public-facing or enforcement role.
- Knowledge of local traffic and parking regulations.
- Full UK driving license (desirable but not essential for all roles).
- First Aid certification.
